This is slow art. Foraged plants, minerals and mushrooms from the Pacific Northwest made into inks. The alchemy of the inks are at play on paper, reacting with each other as they meet. I collaborate with nature, listening to and discovering connections as I go.
When I’m working with materials it’s not just the leaf or the stone, it’s the processes that are behind them that are important. That’s what I’m trying to understand, not a single isolated object but nature as a whole.
