Painted in Sulfur ink from the wild and scenic Klickitat River, Sumac, and a puffball mushroom with many names; Dead Man’s Foot, Skullcap, Dyer’s Puffball, whatever you’d like to call it, it has a velvety suade texture to it, you can see the mushroom in it.
Collected and made from materials around the Columbia River Gorge, and inspired by the shapes of the vast and forested landscape I live in. I want the inks to speak for themselves, which is why I like to keep the shape’s simple, knowing they will make new shapes as they interact with each other. It’s alchemy art!
Thanks for stopping by, Molly.
